Pretty sure he's right, if your MMR is not that fucked, you should get easy Gold with 10 Placements and 2-3 wins after High Plat/Low Dia (;
AND having a god damn silver border
Well normally I did my placements at the start of every season and most of the time the system was fucked and after 8-2/9-1 you was placed high silver or smtg -.- But would be great if not tho

Depents of the MMR you have and the fact, that at the Start of the Season, all players wanna get ranked, so you have a lot higher cap for gold then at the End of the Season, thats the reason I only play at the End of the Season, and I got Gold all the Time after Placements :)
