It's like people forget that true or not, people deserve to make decisions about their own body & it isn't wrong for them to be upset when that agency is taken away. There's a time and place for everything obviously, it wasn't it here, but it's a valid thing to be upset about.

I can understand that. It’s like piercing a babies ears before they can talk and request it. But it falls under the “parents are responsible to make health choices for their children” and where the line needs to be drawn for that.

"parents are responsible to make health choices for their children”.. What babies do you know that are having sex, because that's the majority of 'health benefits' you believe. There's also a lot of health detriments to infant circumcision you ignore.

take away agency from a person, especially when it certainly has serious problems it can pose health wise such as loss of genitals, which is more common than people realize. Looking out for the child's health, physical and mental, it makes more sense to not do it than to do it.

There are pros and cons to both. The parents make health choices for their children. Like a child born with extra fingers and toes will have them surgically removed at infants because their parents wanted them to be removed, without the consent of the baby.

In the end, most who circumcise do it for religious reasons as opposed to health reasons, and that’s on them. I plan to circumcise my boys because of my beliefs, and it does have benefits besides that too.

circumcision is an injury without any sound evidence of benefits. according to the AMA medical journaln of ethics end of last year.https://journalofethics.ama-assn.org/article/nontherapeutic-circumcision-minors-ethically-problematic-form-iatrogenic-injury/2017-08 …
