My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.
Well, that's your opinion. For me, as a leftist, I see the Weather Underground as the Malcolm X for MLK. In the 1970s, there were ~100 bombings a year. CoIntel Pro was literally a burglary of a government facility. His father's part in the robbery was just driving a switch car

His father is the only one still in jail from this incident.

I don't have a lot of respect for corrupt institutions that murder people. I certainly don't hold them in higher regard than I do an individual who did the same. His father was sentenced to 75 years for driving a switch car. I'm against that.

I heard his son be interviewed on Fresh Air w/ Terry Gross. His father was driving a switch vehicle. Do you know what a "switch vehicle" is? It's when they change vehicles from the one the cops may have seen to another vehicle. He was driving a switch vehicle & not at the scene
