So nearly half declining, but a lot increasing. Very similar in UK, quite a complex story. Habitat loss, pesticides etc causing declines but climate changing helping many species to spread north

Here's the video I was talking about in my last tweet, but this time you don't have to click to FB to see it. Again, that body language. This isn't just a cold association between two predators, the way coyote and badger cooperative hunting behavior is usually described.

Remember bee-flies? They started ridiculously early on 17 February last year! Bee-fly Watch in 2019 produced over 2,000 records, more than ever before. What will happen this year? There's only one way to find out - take part in Bee-fly Watch 2020!

I hope the majority of our farmers wouldn t do this anyway, because they know it would damage wildlife, and risks breaching the Wildlife and Countryside Act, which outlaws intentionally damaging any wild bird or its nest. Please reassure me, Twitter.

It's hard not to wonder why? Why are you so stunning Notolioon nodipennis? Why do you need to look like this living in moss in rainforest? Why? When congeners are so plain? Why? Mt. Field, Tasmania.
