I bought a little bit of 7-10 year bonds when they hit 3% and that ended up being too early. Luckily, small position size.
I gave the deflationary camp too much credit.
Lyn, when you say the Fed is letting "bonds mature off of their balance sheet and choose not to reinvest the proceeds", by "proceeds" do you mean proceeds from new bond issuance are used to pay off maturing bonds, and not reinvested?
