Count me in on the work of finding a way forward toward a better society. That work can include protests but it MUST include political involvement at the federal, state and local level. We need leaders who are responsive to these concerns.

Like everyone, I’ve been shaken by the death of George Floyd and so many other Black people at the hands of police. I’m deeply moved by the enormity, emotion and power of the peaceful protests and heartbroken by the continuing injustices that inspired them.

The science on friendship gives people permission to spend more time with friends, and focus on the friends who matter most. Having this message sink in, on a wide scale, is one silver lining of an otherwise horrible pandemic.
