I don’t get companies who buy Midroll ads on videos. I’m ANGRY at you when you interrupt the video I’m watching. I’m mid-laugh or mid-intense moment and you’re shocking my senses with an ad. Who thinks I’m going to buy from you at that point in time?? All I want is my video back!

But it’s the creators that choose to insert them. The problem IMHO isn’t the ad, but the placement. As a creator you can put ads where you want but it isn’t precise, and YouTube rolls back a few seconds when it’s over. I’ve tried dip-to-black for ad inserts, and it doesn’t work.

Good point, yes. I’m also angry at the creator in that moment. Good to know about the placement issues. I hope
@TeamYouTube fixes that.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Yeah, the
@TeamYouTube midroll ad experience needs to be a lot better. We are used to midroll ads — hello, every single show on TV. It works if you can edit the break into the program. Sucks the big suck when it interrupts mid sentence.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
Yes, I don’t mind the idea if it’s baked in. But offering a completely jarring experience by cutting into content mid-sentence is just terrible for everyone involved.
