On World Cancer Day I am doing the pretesting for my 4th phase I clinical trial. Medical research has allowed me to live with stage IV lung cancer for FIFTEEN years and counting.

A4. In one study, lung cancer patients said they feared that access to care and research would be affected by the stigma associated with their condition. This is unacceptable.

This is a huge, and very real problem. LC is massively underfunded compared to the other major cancers. And there are so many stories of patients being mistreated, ignored and stigmatized. It's tragic. The need to raise awareness and dismantle the stigma is high priority.

On World Cancer Day 2020, I salute all of my fellow survivors, I honor anyone that cancer has taken from us and I thank all of the past and present caregivers. You are all my heroes.

"The stress & overwhelming crushing defeat of these bills that would come in every week —it had an effect on our quality of life." After keeping it secret for over a decade, I went public in 2017 on how had affected me & my late husband

No one deserves lung cancer. Disease is not a punishment.

This beautiful baby boy is courtesy of lung cancer research funding. Well, mom and dad had something to do with it, too. Congratulations!

Lung cancer does not discriminate. Republican, Democrat, old, young, atheist, believer, smoker, non smoker. Breathing is the one common risk factor.

What do Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Rush Limbaugh have in common? LUNG CANCER. Anyone with lungs can get it. No risk factors required. This disease afflicts anyone regardless of political beliefs. NO ONE deserves Lung Cancer or any disease.

“I think it is important to put this out there. I am not afraid. Nope. When I say death is my familiar it is not merely a throwaway statement. Seriously. Death has been my persistent companion for so very long now that it has lost the ability to intimidate.”
