I mean absolutely no disrespect to
#VeteransDay Sometimes I write, before I think too hard. Much like when I speak, ha ha Anyway I was up all night trying to save bears and mountain lions, cause you know I am crazy about forest creatures.pic.twitter.com/zdEPyG5qTu

Well, I dearly love all critters. They speak to me and I am privileged in that I get to live a life, filled with forests and trees and barnyard animals, galore

I have thought for a long time that Sept 11th should be First Responders Day.

Prayers for safety of all the firefighters, first responders, and residents of the horrible fires in California. I worry about my friend Jeanette who is close to one of the southern California fires.pic.twitter.com/5mTXpQcCn7

Good question. Is there a 1st responders day?
-
Actually
@deNutrients clued me in, now we just need to raise awareness May 4th, International Firefighter's Day, "On the first Sunday in May at noon please Sound Off (sound fire alarms for 30 seconds at noon, followed by minute of silence) in respect of past firefighters." -
Can equating firefighters to Jedi be a thing then?

Thank you, Jennifer but apparently not many know of it

It didn't start in the US, I just googled. I've found there tends to be a day/week or month, for many topics that most people aren't aware of. Solidarity of sharing the same date helps make it more known as an annual tradition. There is a truck driver's week & a Kidney health day

Thanks internet search engine and thanks firefighters. sad times. I went to a town meeting about homelessness while traveling in California and one of the topics discussed was risk of fire. Too much drought for campfires.
