  2. I wouldn’t have called it a ‘green new deal’, I would’ve gone with ‘the greenening’... and that’s why I’m voting for Kodos.

  4. “The final report contained clause 7.36: ‘Re-appraise superannuation for First Nations people: their shorter life expectancies mean they have less opportunity to enjoy superannuation after retirement.’” It gets a little bit lonelier each week… |

Bailed for killing an Aboriginal woman. Yet bail is refused for an Aboriginal woman who shoplifts (and then she dies in prison) When will our lives be valued. When will we be safe in our own country

First Nations people die younger than non-Indigenous, are subject to systemic racism which impacts financially. The yarn about Super is an important one and thanks to Terry - we are now having it!

  9. I love how ppl dismiss this connection tho, like “No, those centuries we spent making white mean pure and black mean everything bad in the world has nothing to do with the exact same centuries we created the narrative where white ppl are pure and good and black people are evil”

Full quote from Scott Morrison’s interview with Peta Credlin, which I find a little disturbing. “I was asked yesterday about a 2050 target. I mean, 2050, it's a long way away.”

  15. Fun Clive Trivia: Clive spent $109 on his “$100,000,000 Aboriginal foundation”— not particularly relevant to the story below, but still worth sharing all the same.

Two pretty enormous immigration precedents have been set in the past few days: 1. Mandatory offshore detention of Australian citizens. 2. A China travel ban. It’s wild to me this has happened so quickly and we’ve let it go through to the keeper.

Our videogames are made on stolen Wurundjeri land. We at House House will be paying at least 1% of our income to Indigenous groups, in perpetuity, as part of the Pay the Rent movement. We'd encourage others to do the same:
