We made a commitment to end rough sleeping in this Parliament. These 6,000 new supported homes, backed with £433m, are unprecedented and will help support thousands of the most vulnerable people in our society.pic.twitter.com/epYSdltRQ1

Excellent news. In Shropshire we’re working hard to reduce homelessness and support some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Here’s just one example of how we’re doing this....https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2020/apr/29/i-feel-like-ive-got-my-life-back-the-homeless-residents-of-a-tudor-hotel-video?CMP=share_btn_tw …

Extra funding to reduce rough sleeping is of course, very welcome. Let's be clear though, this is ~£50m of new funding. This is the same programme announced at budget, just sped along a bit. Please @RobertJenrick don't sell this as £100s of millions of new funding. It is not. https://twitter.com/RobertJenrick/status/1264471674906443776 …

For too long has homelessness been something that the Tories in government have been all-too-willing to allow to fester. I didn't vote for you as my local MP, but if you are serious about tackling it now? You'll have my respect. But please make sure it's not all just glossy PR.
