Not so forensic from @Keir_Starmer. Any suggestion that funding is being withdrawn to support rough sleepers is simply wrong. £3.2bn of funding has been made available to help councils respond to coronavirus, including meeting the costs of accommodating rough sleepers.https://twitter.com/Keir_Starmer/status/1261228971573891073 …

The coronavirus crisis is far from over. It's simply wrong to send homeless people back onto the streets. Right now they need emergency support. But after this crisis we can't forget we all but ended rough sleeping overnight. We can end it for good. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/homeless-people-put-up-hotels-22029994 …

Didn’t they tell you, you being a Tory MP and all “Civil servants have told Greater Manchester officials that the scheme - known as ‘Everyone In’ - is no longer being funded by central government and that March's original Covid guidance to local authorities has been scrapped.”

How can you say it’s untrue when it relates to Greater Manchester and there Mayor @AndyBurnhamGM has shared it. If this is the case you need to be speaking to the combined council to find out why in there report it states this. @Keir_Starmer was right to shed light onit👏🏼

So you can confirm that the report in Manchester is false about funding being pulled for their homeless

Nottinghamshire County Council has projected a £70m budget shortfall due to Covid-19 impacts. Additional funding from Government to date is £22.3m, with a further £14.6m due soon. This leaves a budget gap of around £33m. @LGA_Labour @LGAcomms @LGANews Thread 1/8
