Over 90% of rough sleepers known to local authorities at the beginning of this crisis have been offered accommodation. We have now created a specialist taskforce, spearheaded by Dame Louise Casey, to lead the next phase support for rough sleepers.pic.twitter.com/7StnwjBwDR

This is the most extraordinary opportunity - this time we must actually work together and not in the interests of ourselves or organisations. It’s a once in a lifetime moment. @yourownplace

Funny how the magic money tree bloomed for this when homelessness became a risk to more than just the homeless.

Will this be permanent or will accommodation be taken away after the end of the pandemic?

Sadly some of these people, who have complex needs, behave in a way that risks the support /temp housing offered. Ie. Doing drugs in , or causing criminal damage to properties . Those who are accommodated should stay accommodated post covid & supported into long term housing

Hope you are not forgetting the #LGBT teenagers who are being kicked-out of their homes by #homophobic parents. There are an increasing amount of them since the start of lockdown.

Great to hear this. A huge opportunity to keep rough sleepers off the streets for good with the support they need. @StPaulsHostel @myworcester @MaggsDayCentre @CCPWorcs
