Apology by Sky News - maybe I'm old school, but I wish journalists / producers / presenters would actually fact check before airing such claims. The South Sudanese community just an easy target to ramp up outrage. It's appalling.

Small observation about situation in Victoria. Yes the new cases are not ideal, but Australia is still in a blessed position. Just yesterday another 154 people died from coronavirus in Britain. There have been 65,000 ‘excess deaths’ here since the start of the pandemic 1/2

Love Karl but saying the rest of Australia looking at Victoria like we have the plague ... can’t remember Victorians carrying on like some NSW people are right now when they were getting over 100 positive cases a day... or banning from events etc. Ridiculous

Big thanks to the for reversing their decision - now allowing wheelchair players to compete at the 2020 Open. And most importantly thanks to you reading this for supporting us and sharing the message - you made this happen.

So many media organisations cutting back ..today the ABC.. when, during a time of crisis with Covid 19 and bushfires before it, the work of newsrooms is so vital. We desperately need strong, robust local journalism like never before...the community must fight to save it.

It fills me with so much sadness that people here think it’s normal or cool to riff on which ABC person they would like to sack or make redundant. Imagine thinking it’s sport to riff on people losing their jobs and livelihoods. It’s so gross

The News Corp national house committee stands with our ABC colleagues. At a time of uncertainty across regional media, the ABC's connection to our country communities has never been more important

So, yes, it has been a difficult day at the ABC. Many good people are about to lose their jobs because of the government’s funding cuts. Our boss, David Anderson, is on the show at 7.30am tomorrow. It’s your ABC, so hit me up with questions/observations.

Very sad David - I remember Michael’s performance in the original We Will Rock You in 2003. The members of Queen came out for the premiere and they loved him. RIP

I actually am a proud Victorian and Melburnian - and getting sick of all the negativity. Have been to probably 15 restaurants since we could eat out and everyone appears to be in great spirits. It doesn’t always have to be doom and gloom, healthy to be a bit optimistic
