Hey #rstats, how do I escape special characters in {texreg} coefficients when the tables are created dynamically by {drake}?
Knitr complains about squared terms like foo:I(bar^2) in the latex coefficient list because the ^2 is not escaped to \^2 by texreg.
Because I'm using {drake} I can't simply manually catch this and use http://custom.coeff.map because I automatically create a table for foo:I(bar^2), foo_a:I(bar^2) etc.
Any ideas? @ameisen_strasse @Ben_Guinaudeau @peterlovesdata

Capture the output somehow and escape/quote the characters than re-print the text? Store output to file and re-import later on? Just some random ideas ... I neither have much experience with {texreg} nor {drake}.

If you post a reprex to https://github.com/ropensci/drake/issues …, I would be happy to take a look.
