Really pleased we have a group on the London Assembly again. We have returned the fantastic and made history with - the first Muslim woman elected to the Assembly ever! London is in good hands with these two.

Agree. Devastating to see the loss of life on both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict, but this has nothing to do with British Jews. Antisemitism has no place in our society.

Eid Mubarak to all Muslims celebrating. Wishing you a blessed and peaceful end to the holy month of Ramadan. I hope you've been enjoying the feast and that next year you'll be able to gather with more family and friends to spend this special time together.

Boris Johnson must confirm the bereaved families will be fully involved with the Covid inquiry - including in finalising its remit. If he fails, he could create a generational injustice as we saw with Hillsborough, forcing bereaved families to campaign for decades for justice.

Happy to all the nurses in our community and on the front lines. We’re especially proud of West Hampstead resident and former councillor who features in this moving tribute to those on the front lines.

BREAKING: the PM has just told me, he will start an independent inquiry into the Government’s handling of Covid, in this parliamentary session - ie in the next 12 months. We’ll hold him to account on behalf of our country’s bereaved families - so they can get answers & justice.

On the 10th anniversary of the Istanbul Convention, the first binding international treaty to end violence against women and girls, the Government could use today to say they'll finally ratify it. Instead they're more interested in suppressing democracy.

Today England has reported zero Covid deaths. For all the horror and heartbreak, what an exceptionally wonderful thing to be able tweet.

Leaseholders have been betrayed by the Conservatives. Lib Dems tried 5 times in the Fire Safety Bill to prevent leaseholders from having to pay the costs of making their homes safe. But the Tories refused.

Thanks for all the lovely messages. Had a brilliant day doing perfectly normal things - pizza, beer and cycling in the sun round Hackney Wick and Victoria Park. Of course, in an alternate timeline that bike ride could have been free 😉
