Como assim, já é novamente?! Esta semana foi rápida. 😐 Mas não tão rápida quanto o tubarão-anequim, o mais rápido de todos, que consegue nadar a mais de 70 km/h. 🦈

I just got back from another sampling campaign, on a commercial fishing boat. We got caught in a storm and it was scary. Like, REALLY scary. Not as scary as what I am doing now though, opening my 3 email accounts for the first time in 20 days.

Sometimes I spend over an hour tracing a particular statement in an academic article back through references until I find the original source, which doesn't say what the source that cited a document that cited a document that cited a document that cited the original source says.

listing of sharks in App II will enter into force on last day of annual meeting. Science is clear: there should be no retention of shortfin mako, with no exceptions. Will Parties to and ICCAT heed this advice & respect the listing?

To my science peeps: when nonscientists ask you to explain your research, . Don't assume they can't understand it, make an effort to explain things in an easy to learn way. Not all who teach are scientists, but all cientists should teach!
