I feel you... I'm not a fan of AIO boxes as a hole. I find if something is trying to do everything then it does nothing well.. just good enough for most people.

I can’t fucking stand RetroArch’s GUI. And it’s always a pain to find the right thing to get it running since it can do so many things. I just want to easily be able to find a streamlined path to emulating what I want to play, not become a scientist

The second I booted RetroArch on a 3DS and a SNES core ran at like 5 frames per second, even though the native version of said emulator ran flawlessly, I immediately knew something was wrong with the backend of it. I mean, even the DS had SNES emulators that ran SMW at 60fps.

Though I understand that there have to be compromizes made, in terms of accuracy, for the latter.

I agree and disagree. But mostly agree. The basics are nice, and some ideas. The UI works, and not.

I agree and disagree. I don't find it useful at all on a computer, but it does serve a nice purpose for setting up retro machines like a Retropie. That's more or less the only use I can see out of it.
