Here’s what I just heard from an anonymous source: “18-24 y.o. shot today on Haight & Masonic was arrested Oct. 9 after a pursuit with SFPD. They recovered 10+ backpacks and belongings from multiple break-ins. Boudin released him. Now he’s dead.”

This is the confluence of social justice, restorative justice, and street justice.

When the basic structure of society provides neither safety nor justice, vigilante justice occurs. This is also a sign of the breakdown of society.

i believe its the healing point of society when good residents are unite-ing, team up and fight back vs evil. Humanity has hope after-all.

We should be fighting to restore the system. Vigilante justice may satisfy us emotionally, but a system built on safety and equitable justice works for everyone.

Oh, no doubt. That's why Boudin is so maddening. We shouldn't have to be looking over our shoulders constantly or be ready to whip out the pepper spray at any moment. Here we are, living in a constant state of fear. And each day there's a new incident in SF to stoke our fears.
