Nah---there's a very real argument that Musk isn't really about preserving the spark of consciousness, since he clearly disregards the consciousness of non-human life here on Earth. He's a human chauvinist first and foremost.

Elon uses childhood comic book ideas as motivation---and pays people to try and accomplish a tiny fraction of that image. A child could serve the roll Musk serves---they just also need billions of dollars and reckless abandon and no care for the consequences.

He didn't start Tesla---he stole it out from under those who actually did. He's not an official founder. And yes, babies can have his ridiculous ideas and most of them are baby ideas (hyperloop, tunnels, etc.) that won't ever be realized.

Again those are all nonsequiturs and have nothing to do with Tesla. It doesn't excuse Musk's behavior one iota. His Boring company has laughably transformed from a hyperloop enabling company, to a PR stunt company that builds unsafe, expensive, narrow tunnels under Las Vegas.
