As of the 10 PM advisory, Nicholas is now a hurricane with 75 mph winds as it rapidly approaches landfall along the central Texas coast. The system will quickly weaken as it moves inland on Tuesday. Heavy rain remains the primary threat across our area.

4 PM Update on Tropical Storm Nicholas. Nicholas is a 65 mph storm and is expected to make landfall later tonight along the central TX coast. Heavy rainfall will be main concern for our area on Tuesday and Wednesday, and some localized flooding issues may occur.
