attend the QUAD meeting in Japan.
Well PK we’ve been without honest, decisive, decent leadership for 4 years and the QUAD is the issue?
Get real!
This is a beat up.
You don’t create
an architecture of fairness
unless you systematically
and substantially
lift wages
and social security payments.
#Budget2022
does neither.
#budget2022 Cancer drugs are important. I am pleased to see tonight's breast cancer announcement. However, it would help if there was a realistic plan to reign in out of pocket health costs...
Scott Morrison and Christian Porter spent $1 million of YOUR money to help Clive Palmer tear down Western Australia’s COVID border restrictions in the High Court.
They even paid over $40,000 to Clive Palmer directly.
I just spoke in the Senate opposing the government's Industrial Relations bill. Once again Labor is trying to stop the government from making it easier for employers to cut pay and conditions and leave workers worse off.
Because Labor is on the side of working families.

Important to hear from so many powerful women at the #MarchforJustice today. Enough is enough. Women in Australia deserve a government who cares enough to listen and act. #auspol
Affordable childcare is vitally important for working families, children's development and boosting our economy. That is why today I am moving a motion in the Senate to call for an inquiry into the current system that is not delivering for Australian families.
Having working mums and dads in the room means policy outcomes are fairer for families. Our Cheaper Child Care policy will make life so much easier for the Australians raising a family. Only Labor will get it done. https://anthonyalbanese.com.au/the-issues/child-care…
A great working catch-up with the awesome WA @AustralianLabor team @Josh4Freo Anne Aly @PatrickGormanMP@mattkeogh@Louise_Pratt@linessue & @SenatorDodson remotely from Broome. Unfortunately @GlennSterle couldn’t join us - doing great work on transport enquiry #auspol#wapol
Our recovery needs to give every worker every chance to succeed. We can't leave anyone behind.
That's what Labor believes. And we'll actually follow through on our promises – by guaranteeing jobs for apprentices, trainees and cadets on federally-funded infrastructure projects.
An incredible opportunity to see the operations in the Pilbara recently, thousands of jobs supported by the industries up there that have contributed to keeping us strong.
Thanks to Caitlyn & Alex from @PilbaraNews for the chance to talk about how critical the gas operations of Karratha & Onslow are for Western Australia & the nation. Thousands of jobs supporting so many communities
Me & @Louise_Pratt learned a lot & we will be back!
There are a lot of unanswered questions about why the Morrison Government paid $30 million for land that was worth $3 million. Who signed off on it?

The Senate has just voted to gag debate on the Higher Education Bill. (So called Jobs Ready Graduates Bill) It’s dreadful legislation that rips students off and the Government is unwilling to submit it to even basic scrutiny.
Media release: MORRISON’S ONLY PLAN IS TO MANUFACTURE A HEADLINE
After seven years of neglecting Australian manufacturing, the Morrison Government has today announced a plan to develop a plan for 10 years time. #auspol
Gladys Berejiklian said "Australia and NSW are not good at building trains." She's wrong.
We're great at building trains. And we should be building more of them here.
Gladys Berejiklian said last month that "Australia and NSW are not good at building trains, that's why we have to purchase them."
She's wrong. Australians are great at building trains.
I saw it at the Downer EDI factory in Maryborough last year.
The Morrison Govt hasn’t released any of their modelling for their Universities cuts and fee hikes either... Such hypocrisy EVERYWHERE you look. Keep calling them out
Morrison Govt has refused release of ANY modelling to #covidcommittee but is calling for full public release of another Govt‘s modelling with same transparency argument they have repeatedly rejected.
Looking forward to release of all Comm models using Hunts argument below.

Media release: In just a week's time, the government’s temporary suspension of mutual obligation requirements will end, however no plan has been established regarding next steps, exacerbating Jobseekers’ uncertainty. #auspol
Safe to say this is one group of Australians we haven’t always appreciated as much as we should. But not anymore.
To all the cleaners in our hospitals, schools, supermarkets, workplaces, on public transport, and anywhere else you’re keeping us safe – thank you.
We will await the details...but in the meantime I will have a drink #COVID19Aushttps://afr.com/policy/economy/wage-subsidy-for-workers-to-survive-coronavirus-20200328-p54evb…
These are important changes to the social security package. My brother and sister work at universities. Prior to this change they told me students would need to withdraw & become “job seekers” as they would not have work to supplement their student payments.
A bit happened last night – so I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the improvements to the Government’s stimulus package.
It has now passed Parliament. We want it to work and work quickly – because Australians are depending on it.
