Very lucky to be attending the @linuxfoundation Open Source Summit here in Tokyo! Looking forward to putting together my plans for our open source books and videos into 2020 and beyond. Come say hi if you’re here!pic.twitter.com/BVDw5DzfdU

You know this is the first time I've bought a guidebook for a city and I don't regret it at all. Did the same as you and mapped out what to do this weekend; it was so helpful. Hope you have a great trip.
Mine is actually a freebie Amazon Prime ebook—Lonely Planet. But I find generally trying to save $10 or so on something that gives you some organized structure is pretty false economy when you don’t have a lot of time.
I got the DK eyewitness travel one, actual hard copy, and it’s been so helpful. It doesn’t just include itineraries but guidelines to etiquette and other useful info. Thanks for the recs :)
FWIW, Meiji shrine, Sensoji, walk around Shibuyu, maybe outer market Tsukiji—from which you can take a boat to Sensoji—would be among my top picks.
