One of the most challenging was this rain cape, made from the leaves of the Chinese windmill palm, arranged in densely overlapping rows like a thatched roof.

Ipswich Museum Conservation. Packing our library for redevelopment. Tim Rousham from the decant team came upon hand written documents from the excavation of the Sutton Hoo Boat burial dating from 1939 and 1952. One evidences some tension. Interesting.
