The Alex Jones-is-crazy trope needs to stop. The man knows exactly what he’s doing: Ginning up his audience to attack shooting victims’ families and shooting survivors. It’s not entertainment. It’s not “performance art”. It’s dangerous. And @TeamYouTube is letting him do it.https://twitter.com/juddlegum/status/978802331226722304 …
I think Twitter ate my first comment which was: Thank you, I did not know this.

The only good part about spending your teenage years watching a parent slide into radicalization is that I can parse this insane situation of him relatively reaching the mainstream better than practically anyone. Trying to make hay out of the situation is therapeutic, so thanks.

I think he likely believes generally shady shit goes down and who knows what’s real(which is fair, my Mom and others’ first step was learning real shit done by CIA et al). But the day to day claims he spouts? He contradicts himself CONSTANTLY. He just doesn’t care. He’s a showman

Like, pre-election his coverage was non-stop about all his supposed proof about Hillary and the Deep State rigging the election. Now, of course, that’s never acknowledged. It’s like being “psychic”—publicize your hits, never acknowledge your many giant misses.

Also, from personal experience, if you meet an Alex Jones fan in the wild trying to convert you, mention how bipartisan conspiracy he was only 5-10 years ago and they shut up IMMEDIATELY, which is usually super hard to get them to do
