The VCs in the comments want to say it is vile that we bring up what’s clear: —Gig workers don’t make enough to pay for childcare while they work. —Prop 22 let the company off the hook for any health, time off or other needs of the driver when something so horrible happens.

This story says much more about the crime issues in the SF area that need to be addressed and haven’t due to the lax enforcement by their social justice warrior DA. It really has nothing to do with family leave or the gig economy. Very weird take.
I used to live in SF and considered raising a family there. You should be able to have kids in a minivan in pacific heights alone for 10 secs without them being abducted. The political leadership had ruined that city. Don’t do it to SD, too.

Just spoke with three officers at Penn station in NY. That place is heinous, packed to the brim with homeless, loiterers, harassers. Police cant do anything about it because of wokist bail reform. Hiw long till we wake up?
