Is the Animal Crossing community in agreement that City Folk was the worst game?
To expand on this. It's not like the game is bad but it really didn't move the series forward at all and it risked franchise fatigue. Samey Visually underwhelming, I don't really recall it introducing any new features. WW despite being a smaller handheld title introduced a ton.

That goes to Wild World
City Folk is basically a upscaled version of Wild World with a pretty meh central gimmick that made the village less interesting. It didn't move the series forward at all. WW introduced a lot of new stuff.
Perhaps underwhelming is a better term. Like say the NSMB series. Good games, but by the 4th game it had got beyond stale because they did not evolve enough. So viewed in a vacuum it is not the worst, but with the circumstances surrounding it, it was the worst progression.
I seriously adored the cafe next to the museum and I‘m SO sad it isn‘t back in NH

City Folk had in-game voice chat and thus is automatically the best one. (Haven't actually played it.) Actually, why is it the only Animal Crossing game with that feature? The Wii doesn't even have a built-in microphone, and the DS and 3DS do! It makes no sense, I tell ya!
Wii Speak was ungodly terrible. It was so bad. It was designed to sit on top of the TV, but in doing so just picked up the sound of the TV speakers. Making it basically impossible to use as intended. I used in like once and never again.
