Drug users will use 10 feet from where they score. How do you plan on keeping dealers away from a 2 block radius of a safe injection site? How will you keep dealers out of these neighborhoods? Build it and they will come.

Setting up safe injection sites is a good idea, as long as there are real and severe enough consequences for shooting up outside the injection sites that will clear the addicts off the sidewalks. If the safe injection site is just another available option, it will not help.

there is no such thing as "safe injection sites". In Zurich,Switzerland the Swiss tried this experiment in the 90's. It didn't work.
