My city keeps making me proud
Only 9%-18% of criminal justice fees in SF are actually collected due to peoples' inability to pay. They're not a reliable source of revenue for the City. Funny. I just had a thousand dollars taken from my bank acct. from a ‘03 muni ticket. I never got a ticket on muni. I also bought 3 homes since then. Somehow, this collection never came up on my credit rpt but my money was taken.
