Candidly, I’m shocked that this seems to be the first time this has occurred to SF city govt. This is not an issue that sprung up this week.

Sadly they are not only in in our parks, but all over the city. My approach to safe injection sites is citywide. Hopefully when implemented, there will be a decline in the number of reported needles in our neighborhoods.
