Since Oct. 2, we've experienced a 250% increase in cases. New cases per 100,000 people have more than doubled over the past three weeks. I know this is tough but it is necessary. We have to control the virus if we're going to get our economy back on track and our kids back in school. We'll continue to do everything we can as a city to help the workers, businesses, families, and residents being impacted.
I'm optimistic that we have a President-elect and Vice President-elect who are committed to getting this virus under control. Because San Francisco is not an island. What happens in other places impacts us here. Right now, we all have to do our part to stop this spread.

And why do they never show the data as deaths by day, and always cumulative? Because a flat line isn’t scary
Colfax said in March would need 5000 beds. Never been more than 114 people hospitalized @ the same time. In July he predicted 6000 people in hospital & 900-3,000 deaths by mid-October. In mid-Oct there were 21 in hosp & 148 total deaths. Business are suffering needlessly.
