We have started reopening San Francisco, with restaurants now allowed to operate with outdoor dining and retail stores open for indoor shopping. But we still have a long way to go to help businesses and residents who are struggling financially.
To keep moving forward to open certain businesses, we need approval from the state. The Board of Supervisors today approved the request to the state that will give us more local control and flexibility.
We will keep working with @SF_DPH to determine what more we can do to support business and activity reopening over the coming weeks and months. As we have throughout our COVID-19 response, we’ll continue to make decisions based on data, science, and facts.
We’ll keep monitoring our key health indicators and remain ready to make any necessary adjustments if we see a spike in COVID-19 cases. Let’s all do our part by following public health guidelines, covering our faces, and practicing social distancing.
we’ve applied for a couple of parking spaces for driver pickups for weeks ... no answer. but large chains get approvals right away. sad.

Guidelines for outdoor seating? Cafe next door has tables 20’ from our (up wind) front door. Barely 6’ wide sidewalk. Is this legal?! We don’t feel safe.
