Our success depends on each person doing their part and taking precautions. It's on us to support local and small businesses that have been significantly impacted. But as we do, let's all be mindful and follow public health recommendations to stay safe and healthy.

Respectfully, I am concerned we are reopening a little too fast. I wish we could have developed some kind of “healthy SF” initiatives to enhance our current or develop new open spaces. I’m already seeing an uptick in traffic on our streets and a noticeable difference in our air.

Cases are still rising in the city, how does it make sense to do this?

Because hospitalizations are down. Testing is up. They expect to see increased positive cases. It’s the number of hospitalized signaling serious illness that they will watch most

Can you please explain the rush to reopen as corona cases rise? Make it make sense. Please.

now she's trying to blame us for small businesses closing since they have "reopened"

Thank you Mayor Breed and @SF_DPH for providing this outline. Out of genuine curiosity, are these openings subject to change if we see a rapid surge in COVID cases between now and mid-August?

Hi Monica, SF has been guided by science and concern for public health. We track the rate of infection growth constantly and correspondingly adjust orders. As such, these dates may change. They depend on local public health indicators and State guidance. https://sf.gov/step-by-step/reopening-san-francisco …
