Face coverings do not take the place of practicing physical distancing, washing your hands frequently, and cleaning high-touch surfaces. But they do help to protect from viral transmission and are a necessary step as we begin to allow more activities and businesses to resume.

According to the SF Gov site: masks are required when walking within 30 feet of people. But not if you're sitting or standing? And not if you're exercising, which includes...walking? This is wildly contradictory.

Restaurants can re-open in mid-June for outdoor dining. But we'll need to wear masks if we're within 30 feet of someone else? How is that going to work? This needs major clarification.

Curious how the 30’ measure will be enforced. Hoping that SFPD is not expected to enforce a subjective distance. The current masking measures were working fine in the city. This seems like upping the power grip simply because you can.
