Last week we opened a 130-room hotel for homeless San Franciscans. The first 20 people moved in on Friday and the remaining rooms are being filled this week by people living on the street. This week we're opening another 120-room hotel, also for people living on the street.

Literally the biggest waste of time, money, effort, and resources. Focus on health workers, small businesses, taxpayers, and clean up the San Francisco streets with authority. Not by giving out hotel rooms and drugs. If you build it they will come...so stop leading them here.

Can the city buy these hotels instead of losing money renting them at tourist rates?
We’ve moved over 2,000 street people into hotel rooms, but there are more people living on the streets than ever. Could it be that the promise of a free hotel room with cigarettes and booze is drawing transients from all over to SF?
