We will also be allowing manufacturing and warehouses to open with a limited number of employees. All businesses will need to follow social distancing. Clear guidelines with more details for businesses will be released this week.

We're taking these steps gradually while monitoring our case numbers, hospitalizations, and hospital capacity. We've made progress because San Franciscans are taking the Stay Home order seriously. We'll continue moving carefully to protect public health throughout this process.

Can you explain why grocery stores don't have these same policies
What's the difference? -
It may be that getting food is more essential than getting new clothes or make up. But I’ve seen social distancing measures inside grocery stores, and some limit how many can enter at the same time etc.

Thanks for opening the beauty supply store back up, girl, but I think you need to lock us down for three more months like LA. There is no normal to return to, let’s keep it a buck and work on building a city that functions effectively within these new parameters.

We need leadership to be honest with us+ prepare us for this new world. Entire industries have been eliminated. Many social customs and milestones are gone for the foreseeable future. This is an insane thing for us to process but denial on the leadership level prolongs pain

Mayor Breed, thank you for your leadership. Ms. Mayor, small businesses need to be able to open ASAP. We can manage the new restrictions and guidelines, but if we are closed any longer, it wont matter when we open. Please give us a fighting chance.

Currently our Grocery stores are over crowded. It's like bumper cars in there.

I work in a grocery store, this is very true. Even if a store limits customers, there still are a significant amount of staff as well. If we can’t social distance in stores during SIP we have no hope for once the order is lifted.
