As long as SF continues progress reducing the spread of Covid-19, we anticipate allowing some businesses to resume operations with storefront pickup as soon as May 18th. Retailers like bookstores, florists, & music stores will be the first allowed to operate storefront pickup.

Is the goal to limit spread to avoid overwhelming hospitals? Or is the goal to drive the number of cases down to zero? I would prefer the latter - I have elderly relatives that I’d very much like to keep alive - but we’d need to spend a lot more on testing to make it happen

It'll never get down to zero, same as the flu. Even with a vaccine it isn't going to happen.

So continued deaths are fine, as long as they don't happen close together and cause a spike? Or as long as they're due to other causes? SF has had 32 COVID deaths, compared with 180 from the average year's seasonal flu. Please explain why we're under house arrest.

Can I sign up to be in a hotel for free and get alcohol and weed too?

This is ridiculous. There’s literally no one in city hall that can make tough decisions. Stop taking the moral high ground and serve all of the residents. San Francisco is bleeding out while it’s leaders are running around like headless chickens.

I think it would help a lot if you cleaned up the streets. People who live in SF tell me the lack of sanitation citywide is appalling.

The last I want to see is a spike in mass poverty caused by the current lockdown. Poverty kills. We in San Francisco know this better than most ....
