I want to recognize Mayor @LibbySchaaf and Oakland for leading the way on this. This pandemic is effecting the way that all of us live our lives and we'll continue working with our regional partners to adjust as we continue to respond.

Thank you! This is a great start! Next up: JFK Drive! When
@RecParkSF actually wanted to keep it empty on 4/20, they closed it to cars, so it should be part of this program. With no residences, there's no local traffic, so we can close it entirely.https://twitter.com/Momifornia1/status/1252266590684409858?s=20 …

And after that, let's take this chance to finally make Valencia St car-free!

This is amazing news to wake up to. Congratulations San Francisco!

If it works we can keep it. These can become Bike Boulevards.

How in the world is JFK in GG Park not included? There is zero need for vehicular traffic there, especially now. Please close the park so pedestrians can have appropriate space for social distancing!

The reason Oakland‘s worked so well was it was 70 miles, it didn’t make any place a destination. This is a start, but it isn’t enough.

This doesn't seem like much help unless you live in the Sunset, the Mission, Bayview, or Ingleside. North of the park, there's nothing (save for a few blocks in the TL).

Interesting start but why is there only a *single* closed street for pedestrians/bikes in the densest neighborhoods (with smallest sidewalks and fewest parks)? TL, Chinatown, SoMa, Nob Hill, etc? Could start with Turk, Larkin, 6th, Grant etc.
