I'm grateful to SF officials for releasing spatial info but also disappointed that the director @SF_DPH says that #COVID is related to multi-family housing. I've not yet seen any evidence or facts backing this assumption.

Hi Steve, just to clarify - he was referencing crowding in homes rather than multi-family housing. Crowding within a housing unit, resulting from our ongoing housing shortage, means that if one member of that home gets the virus, it is likely to spread to others in that unit.

People can physically distance in multi-family housing, but it can be very difficult to physically distance in a home with multiple families or multiple generations of the same family.

I believe it is pretty clearly income, not density. The virus is searching for thick local networks of social interaction. Wealthy people historically isolate and socially distance.
