Restaurants are struggling to survive and delivery is their main option for staying open. I'm instituting a cap on the fees that delivery services can charge restaurants during this emergency, because it can make the difference between them staying afloat or laying-off staff.

This fee cap is just one way we're supporting our small businesses. We're also: -Providing $9 million in zero interest loans -$2 million in grants -Halting commercial evictions & more -Resources for small businesses and employees at http://www.oewd.org/covid19

Thank you Supervisor @Ahsha_Safai and Supervisor @AaronPeskin for working with me to help our restaurants.

So basically you collapse the delivery service with this cap? How are they suppose to pay the drivers? This won't end well, London.

Go away. The delivery services are making tons and tons of money. They are inflating the price of the goods and half the time the delivery person doesn't even get a tip.

Please please talk to any economist about why this is a terrible decision that hurts restaurants and workers and your citizens. How many times do we have to learn that price caps *create* shortages. This is the most basic and constantly observable dynamic in markets.

Ahaha! Ari, you trying to talk sense into the Mayor of San Fran this morning is the greatest thing on my timeline. If these people accepted common sense, the city wouldnt be facing nearly as many issues today as it is. Cheers and good luck 🍻🙌

as a former restaurant owner - SF made it impossible to do business but this is absurd. rent and labor are by far the biggest expenses. are you capping rents too? landlords have been raking it in thanks to CA property tax laws.

Thank you. Can you implement jogger hours. 6-7 am and 8-9 pm please. There is no way for walkers to stay 20 feet away from exhalations as recommended. Thank you.

That is an inequitable and unjust suggestion. It is not safe for "joggers" to run solo in the dark. SF sidewalks are the problem- they are too narrow. Meanwhile, our 60ft wide streets are unused. There is plenty of space for everyone:https://twitter.com/prinzrob/status/1248419494399078402 …
