I've been thinking: After lessons from great earthquake & fire, all sidewalks had street names stamped on corners, and high pressure fire water supply installed, both unique to SF. Lesson from COVID-19: all new-build sidewalks >2.5 meters wide for social distance passing.
The stay home order is particularly difficult and dangerous for people experiencing domestic violence. A green strip could be in middle of low volume sidewalks, as long as there were lots of cross-overs. Another pandemic inevitable, & probably more likely than another great fire. We should take preparation as seriously.
