We are closing playgrounds to ensure people follow the stay at home guidelines. We will close other public spaces if needed. I'm asking you to do your part. The only way SF can avoid the devastation we're seeing in other parts of the world is if everyone acts responsibly.

There R many ways ppl can get exercise within their homes. Your mandates R counter productive given amount of people still out & about! Dog walking, food shopping, medical, understandable but jogging, hiking, walking, cycling R not essential given alternative of getting virus!

Really, why can't I jog? I'm not going to get within six feet of another person while I'm jogging.

We appreciate your concern. The San Francisco Homeless Outreach Team (SF HOT Team) has been conducting extensive and constant outreach to unhoused individuals. You can also learn more about what's being done at https://sf.gov/information/covid-19-and-people-experiencing-homelessness ….

How about closing the roads to cars so people CAN get out and get some exercise and pick up necessary supplies without infecting someone or becoming infected? Too much space given over to lung-damaging machines and too little to public health.
