If SF needs more N95 masks, may I suggest reaching out to companies and offices in the Bay Areas that may have purchased during and after the big forest fire several yrs ago. Remind them to donate their inventory to hospitals and healthcare workers.

Where is the demand - are local hospitals actually seeing masses of sick people?

It's not just confirmed cases; people with Covid-like symptoms basically have to be treated as if they have it, to protect the providers. So every time a nurse walks into the room to check on the patient, adjust equipment--that's a new batch of PPE used. Can be 100s/patient/day.
