I just saw a homeless guy break into 6 cars in a row. Called 911 and police never showed. Imagine what it will be like when the quarantine of officially starts.
Thank you to all the city staff and nonprofit service providers for keeping our homeless outreach programs, shelters, resource centers, and permanent supportive housing sites open during this time. These are essential services that keep our most vulnerable residents safe.

Those people need help. Why wouldn't we help them? Try A Woman's Place to get connected to resources for those merely suffering homelessness instead of additional problems like mental illness or addiction. Also maybe try understanding and empathy?

About the eviction moratorium - are temporary evictions for capital improvements or seismic retrofits going to be suspended as well? How can people be expected to move out of their home with businesses suspending operations and coronavirus concerns?
