Presumably presumptive positive means they haven't gotten test results?

It means they have at least one respiratory specimen that tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19. Here's background from the CDC:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/reporting-pui.html …

Please close all SFPL branches. Events, programs, and classes have been canceled through the month anyway. The only service provided that patrons cannot get online is the checking in and checking out books that do not come in an electronic format. 1/2

This is NOT an essential service. Library staff have families and older adults at home, too - we want to keep them as safe as possible. If public health truly was the priority, you'd keep us home. 2/2
