I honestly voted for the other guy the first time you ran. But you have more than convinced me that I was wrong. You’ll get my vote forevermore. Your dedication empathy waking the streets with Dept Managers. Your trying to put a dent into homelessness is all admirable. Thx!

Negotiating with Safeway to densify and build much needed housing on parking lot is a great idea. Use that idea along the many dysfunctional corridors in the Bay Area.

Now is the time for big ideas and big private-public efforts. Let's not get stuck in permit processing.

If the approval process is the main housing affordability problem, explain why thousands of approved projects aren't getting built. "Stream line the approval process" is a developer talking point. The approval process should be efficient, but it isn't the main problem.

Putting planners on more of a permitting treadmill isn't going to get people housed. Only actually building homes will house people. The private building industry, by itself, is hobbled and tapped out. So, the government must engage in every which way to get housing built.

The dumpster fire that is the current process could stand to be undermined quite a bit SF would be a much more livable city if the planning process didn't make it practically illegal to build new homes
