But that's not all. I also announced that we'll be opening another 2,000 placements over the next two years. This means more supportive housing, drop-in centers, behavioral health treatment & shelters. We simply need more places for people to go and we're going to create them!
We also know that we need more than just shelters. I was homeless a decade ago we had a place to go have coffee be out of the rain have a place to sit. While prioritizing deeply affordable often supportive housing is the only real exit, prioritizing quality of life of current homeless people is life saving.
