SF built 4,360 new homes in 2019. The good news: this is 66% higher than the year before. The better news: we have over 10,000 units under construction right now, more than we’ve had in decades. We do need more affordable permanent housing in t/ form of homeownership. As most of the housing built are rentals requiring annual checks that reduce t/ ability 2 economically advance.
#SB50 has many equity challenges that out way benefits. Poverty trap rentals aren’t an answer.
