I don't understand why SF city govt is so bad on this when so many other cities City Councils and Mayors are shifting to more more pro building, less zoning restrictions..it feels like SF is stuck in time.

Ill say this is as often as possible: you, rep wiener, the chronicle...all represent majority opinion. the supervisors represent highly-engaged local neighborhood groups. it is their job to represent their voters and block housing. only a ballot measure can represent the city

Yes, but build in neighborhoods that won’t adversely affect working-class people! Otherwise you better be building plenty of affordable housing too. Otherwise will just be a monolith of rich folks.
