One thing that Muni can do to improve riding experience is announcing 
PSAs during rush hours on things like:
1. Move to the center of the car for more passengers to get on
2. Take off backpacks for more standing room
3. Let other get off the train by moving out of the way

Word ‘cranky’ 2 describe those riders (incl. myself) that criticized design of the train seats is not fair. Did rswan@sfchronicle.com sit in seats herself? If so, she would realize that most riders R correct in their concern regarding them. That does not translate to cranky!

Apparently these new cars still do not take bikes. Bikes still not allowed on the Metro cars. Not good!!!!!
